ABC is a uniquely designed facility with boarding areas for dogs and cats, a full service grooming department, and a unique retail boutique! Located on 2-1/2 wooded acres on the north side of Houston, proprietor, Suzanne Locker, has created an atmosphere of home for the care of your pet.
ABC has proudly been an ABKA “Accredited Kennel” since 1997. This indicates that we have reached very high industry standards for quality pet care. Our procedures and the facility both continue to meet these requirements in order to provide your pet with a safe, happy environment.
Professional Affiliations include: Better Business Bureau, Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, International Society of Canine Professionals (ISCP), International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and ABKA.
Our commitment to providing excellent pet care is demonstrated by our continued involvement in ABKA - the premier trade association for pet care professionals. We have been active members since 1991. Suzanne served for eight years on the ABKA Board of Directors representing a four-state area, including Texas; and held the office of President of the Board for one year. Currently, both Suzanne and Al serve as Co-Chairmen of the Voluntary Facilities Accreditation Committee, which continues to set high standards for pet care facilities in the United States and around the world. The Lockers are frequent seminar speakers for numerous pet-related conferences, such as Pet Services Expo and Pet Industry Association of Australia.
Our entire team takes pride in having one of the best pet resorts in the country! Each staff member was chosen for our love of animals and our sincere desire for all visiting pets to have a happy and safe time while they are with us.
It is extremely important to keep current with our animal care knowledge. We do this by attending seminars regularly on dog behavior and are required to study and pass the ABKA Pet Care Technician course. You will see our certificates when you come to visit us!

FACILITY TOURS: We welcome visitors! No appointment is necessary, but we prefer between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sorry, no tours given on Sunday. We encourage you to come visit us and see the difference!
