GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT BOARDING YOUR PET
The ABC Philosophy is to re-create each guest’s daily schedule as closely as possible and provide him with a comfortable environment. We feel this will greatly reduce any stress your pet may have because of being away from home. So while your pet is boarding, our staff will strive to mimic his home schedule and the care you give your pet.
For your pet’s comfort ABC provides bedding for all our guests. Although we cover the basics, we feel that something brought from home aids in relieving anxiety. We encourage you to bring items such as a towel, a small blanket or even an item of your clothing. These things will contain your household smell and make your pet feel more relaxed. Please make sure your pet’s bedding can be laundered and is small enough to fit in a washing machine. Toys are welcome; however, we don’t accept rope toys due to the chance of their unraveling and causing choking.
Both our cat and dog guests are fed Flint River Ranch premium pet foods. We have both dry and wet varieties to please their pallet. Not only are the Flint River foods eaten well by most pets, but they are baked twice to help with digestion. This is an important fact for those pets who don’t switch foods easily and for older pets. If you would like to bring your own food, we’ll happily prepare and feed your pet’s food at no additional cost. If this is your preference, we ask that the food is bagged by portions in zip-lock baggies. In keeping with our philosophy, we feed according to your own pet’s schedule, whether it’s once, twice or three times daily. Your pet’s meals will be served in stainless steel bowls that are sanitized daily.
DAY BOARDING
Day Boarding is simply defined as “a cat or dog visiting us without an overnight stay”. Your pet will be kept in the enclosure of your choice at the regular boarding rate (see Rates). Included in the stay, dog guests will have three trips outside for exercise, and both dog and cat guests receive a one-on-one playtime of your choice. You may bring in your pet during our regular hours of operation, Monday through Saturday; however, Day Boarding is not available on Sunday.
