Our Background

Suzanne and Al Locker founded ABC Pet Resort & Spa in 1991. Suzanne served eight years on the Pet Care Services Association (PCSA) Board of Directors, representing other pet facility owners in the southern states. During this time, she held the office of President of the Board for one year.

The Lockers served as Co-Chairs of the Voluntary Facilities Accreditation Committee, which created standards for pet care facilities and shelters in the United States and around the world. The Lockers are frequently invited to be speakers at seminars for industry organizations, local schools, business chambers and for groups around the world; including as Keynote Speakers at Ausboard 2007 (Australia's pet care industry association).

Al Locker also owns Turnkey, Inc., a design/build construction company that has served the Houston area for over 50 years. He has designed over 70 pet facilities and veterinary clinics in the United States, and built 17 in the Houston area. Al is sought out for this expertise in the pet industry because of his considerable knowledge of pet facility ownership, design and construction.
