Here at ABC, heat and humidity are constantly under surveillance. When the humidity and temperature are both high, the combination can be deadly.
We have used the charts below for years to keep your pets safe at ABC. Heat and humidity affect different breeds, age groups, and pets on medications in different ways. The charts are utilized daily by all of our staff to gauge outside play and potty-time length.
When we are in a danger zone (dark orange), we use a few key solutions to keep our pets safe such as: water play, more frequent breaks in the A/C (for daycare), large fans, we restrict outside access for guests staying in indoor/outdoor enclosures, and MOST importantly, we focus on the prevention of heat exhaustion with our staff!
